In this post I’ll let you in on the latest McDo menu items that you shouldn’t miss out since we don’t really know if they’re going to disappear anytime soon. If you’ve been following my blog, then you know I’m always sharing the latest news, offers and deals from our beloved McDonald’s.

McDo’s New Innovation on Classic Favorites
Last year, McDonald’s promised us some upgrades to our favorite McD burgers. On its website, McDonald’s stated:
“You’re gonna love the hotter, juicier, tastier upgrades we’ve made to burgers like our Cheeseburger and Double Cheeseburger.”
McDonald’s has made four changes to its burgers, which are still being rolled out as of this writing.
- The cheese will be melty.
- The Big Mac will have more sauce.
- The onions will be added to the patties on the grill.
- The burger buns are going to be softer.
The modifications stem from McDonald’s culinary team, who discovered that minor tweaks can yield significant improvements. These adjustments encompass “hotter, meltier cheese” and fine-tuning grill settings for a superior sear.
The outcome? Burgers so irresistible they’ve “captured the interest of McDonaldland’s notorious trickster, the Hamburglar.”
Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy & Bacon Cajun Ranch Deluxe McCrispy
The McCrispy is McDonald’s signature southern-style fried chicken sandwich, boasting a flavorful, juicy chicken fillet with the signature crunch that fans adore. While the classic McCrispy is available year-round, those seeking an extra zing can indulge in McDonald’s new limited-time offering, the Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy, starting April 22 at participating locations nationwide, while supplies last.
The Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy draws inspiration from the soul food flavors of the South, featuring a bold, creamy, and spicy Cajun ranch sauce, applewood smoked bacon, and crisp crinkle-cut pickles, all nestled in a warm toasted potato roll. It’s the spiced-up twist the original McCrispy didn’t know it needed. For an added touch, try the Bacon Cajun Ranch Deluxe McCrispy, which includes Roma tomatoes and shredded lettuce.
Chicken Big Mac
Recently tested in Florida, McDonald’s latest chicken sandwich innovation, the Chicken Big Mac, has only two differences from the traditional Big Mac: it lacks minced onions and replaces the beef patties with thin, nugget-like chicken patties.
For those who need a breakdown: “Two Chicken Nugget-like Patties, Special Sauce, Lettuce, Cheese, Pickles, on a Sesame Seed Bun.”
While I occasionally enjoy a Big Mac, I usually prefer the Quarter Pounder with cheese, or the reliable two cheeseburger meal. The chicken patty in this sandwich reminds me of another favorite, Chicken McNuggets, and I think it pairs perfectly with hot mustard. Big Mac fans who also love Chicken McNuggets might find this sandwich a delightful addition to their rotation. Give it a try and see where you stand.
Double Big Mac
McDonald’s iconic Big Mac is getting an upgrade in 2024. The Double Big Mac is set to debut at participating locations nationwide for a limited time starting January 25. It comes loaded with four 100% all-beef patties, pickles, shredded lettuce, chopped onions, Big Mac sauce, and two slices of American cheese, all sandwiched between a sesame seed bun.
Biscoff® Frappé and McFlurry (Limited Time Offer)
McDonald’s is having a Biscoff® takeover with the launch of the Biscoff® McFlurry® and Biscoff® Frappé. The Biscoff® McFlurry®, which fans loved last year, features Biscoff biscuit crumbs swirled into soft serve for an extra crunchy taste. This eagerly awaited return is sure to get fans excited, especially with McDonald’s newest creation! The Biscoff® Frappé has a vanilla flavor base, blended with ice and Biscoff biscuit crumbs, topped with caramel-flavored cream and a Biscoff biscuit crumb dusting.
These delicious treats might not be available at all McDonald’s locations, so check the app or in-store to be sure.
New Grandma McFlurry
McDonald’s is all about making lifelong memories with grandma, from those impromptu soft serve treats to letting us have dessert first. Now, it’s time to make her feel special with the new Grandma McFlurry.
This sweet treat features a delicious syrup and crunchy candy pieces (like the ones grandma always had in her purse), all blended into creamy vanilla soft serve.
